Shark Shape Recognition Task Cards, Shark Week

This shark themed activity contains 12 different task cards where students have to match the shape that the shark is to the 2D shape underneath out of 2 choices. This resource comes in both col and b/w option for your preference and comes at 2 task cards per page. There are instructions included on the front page of the document. I recommend cutting them out individually and then laminating them, this will make them stronger and longer lasting - meaning you can use them over and over again. This is a great addition to your shark week unit, as well as being a different way for students to work on their 2D shape skills. 2d shapes included are; • circle • square • triangle • trapezoid • oval • pentagon • hexagon • octagon • rectangle • diamond • star • heart

his shark themed count the room activity contains 10 different count the room flashcards. All images and vocabulary are linked to the theme of sharks. The flashcards come with numbers/ten frames 1-10 with a matching recording sheet. All flashcards are ready numbered. An answer key is provided on the bottom page of the recording sheet PDF file. Instructions are also included on first pages of each PDF document. This download includes two PDF documents - one for the count the room flashcards and one for the recording sheets. I would highly recommend laminating each of the individual flashcards so that they will be stronger, therefore longer lasting. You can hide these flashcards anywhere you want to get the students active and moving about. Some example are: ♦ Around the classroom ♦ Outdoor play area ♦ In a tough tray ♦ In a sensory tub etc. This is a great way to keep students motivated and engaged while working on their counting skills.

Each image is linked to the theme of shark species and all images can be seen in the preview of this resource. This will be an excellent addition to your ‘Shark Week’ topic and expand your students knowledge while allowing them to move around.
